One of our Favorite program animals is the Chilean Rose Tarantula (Grammastola cala). Another of our BUG-Pets, the Rose Tarantula is beautiful and docile. They very rarely bite and usually don't mind being handled. Like all spiders, they are predators and have a quick and deadly strike. Their venom is dangerous to crickets and small mice and things - but to people, it's no worse than a bee sting - and it's much less likely to happen!
