CRYPSIS - naked camouflage. Many people think
this hide-n-seek technique is called camouflage. But camouflage involves
wearing a costume for concealment. Wrapping dried leaves around yourself to hide
is camouflage. But this dragonfly is hidden because it landed in a place that
looks just like it does. It isn’t wearing a costume. It just looks like a
tree. It is cryptic. If it didn’t land at the just right time, it never would
have had its picture taken!
